NBA Athletes are the Best Athletes in the World

I have had many debates about which sport has the best athletes. I guess that to be able to answer this, you first have to figure out what makes up an athlete. Well in my opinion an the best athlete isn't whoever is the fastest, or who can jump the highest, or who can ride their bike the longest(seriously people, Lance Armstrong is NOT the best athlete in the world). But I believe the best athlete is whoever would be able to be dominant in all sports.

During our arguments I've heard it said that NFL players are the best, but I'd love to see any of them try to play basketball. Players like TO have even tried to play pro ball, and have failed miserably. To be honest, I think its a no-brainer that the best athletes in the world are all on the basketball court.

You cant tell me that Allen Iverson wouldn't be a sick soccer player, or that any NBA guard couldn't be a great WR. Heck I've even read that Gilbert Arenas could be a world class sprinter if he wanted to.

Well this all got me thinking, and I have decided to come up with an All NBA-NFL team. Not only do I think that this team could dominate every team in the NFL (well unless they're playing the deadly Pats+Refs combo), but I think they could keep up with the All-Pro team. Check this team out...

QB: Jason Kidd- Has the height, obviously has the ability to read Defenses, I guess his arm is a wild card, but I've seen him make some sick full court passes, so I think he'd be alright. Not to mention that his running game would rival that of Michael Vick.

RB: Dwayne Wade- Would probably struggle to stay healthy, but he definitely has the size/speed to be a NFL RB. He cuts to the basket harder than any other player, and plays with the reckless abandon that it takes to be successful in the NFL.

WR: Andre Igoudala- Sure there would be better options here, but I think Lebron and Kobe would be better suited on Defense. Still though I have no doubt that Andre could be one of the best WR's in the NFL. He is taller, nearly as fast, and can jump higher than most in the NFL.

WR: Josh Smith- Andre and Smith would form the best set of WR's in the NFL. Being 6'8 and athletically gifted, Josh could easily be a WR in the Randy Moss Mold.

WR: Rudy Gay- This kid is an athletic freak of nature. I have no doubt that if you put the ball up in the air, he will catch it.

TE: Dwight Howard- Try stopping this guy in the endzone...seriously, try...

LT: Shaq- Even though he's slowed down a step or 6 since his prime, he still would be the most athletic Tackle in the league.

LG: Eddy Curry-Big, fat, and athletic sounds like a NFL O-Lineman...

C: Brian Cardinal- Not your conventional C, but he's a smart guy, and will do anything for the team, I really doubt his size will be a factor, just give him a couple months to fatten himself up.

RG: Zach Randolf: Another Big Body.

RT: Glen Davis- Glen will finally be able to eat whatever he wants! I have no doubt he could be 315lbs in a matter of a couple of weeks...

LE: Kevin Garnett- Is he too skinny? Yes, but he also is the most competitive player I've ever seen. His length/Craziness would make him a solid DE.

DT: DeAndre Thomas- Yes he's still in college, and yes he's only a freshman, but any time you can get a basketball scholarship and weigh 340lbs, you deserve a spot on this team.

RE: Ben Wallace- I hate the guy, but he's an angry person and would be a great DE.

LOLB: Shawn Marion-Has the size/speed to be great.

MLB: Lebron James-Smart enough to read D's, big enough to be sick. Could darn near play any position not on the line, but I think would be best suited at a spot where his heady play would best be utilized

MLB: Ron Artest-And you thought Ray Lewis was crazy...

ROLB: Stephen Jackson- One things for sure, he'd always have Ron Artest's back...

CB: Chris Paul- quick, and a good size for a CB. Also is pretty smart so would be great at reading D's.

CB: Nate Robinson- Anyone this athletic needs to have a spot on this team.

FS: Kobe Bryant- FS needs to be smart and fast...Kobe is both of these.

SS: Baron Davis- Quick and plays recklessly, would be a great SS.

KR/PR: Allen Iverson- quickest athlete in the world?

So thats my team. Sure they'd be a little small on the line, but I'm sure these guys could add 20 lbs of fat in the matter of weeks.

Seriously tell me they couldn't compete with the NFL All-Pro Team...
